Starbucks Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso Copycat Recipe

The Starbucks Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso has been all the rage. So much so, that I have had a hard time getting my hands on one. However, finally I did and it was delicious, but I still couldn’t get it on the regular, so I made a pretty darn good copycat recipe that I am going to share with you. The ingredients are pretty specific, but change it up if you can’t find the oatmilk or if you don’t feel like making the brown sugar simply syrup. The drink is fabulous and tastes just like the Starbucks version, plus you will save A LOT of money making it yourself. 😉

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold brew you could use an Americano here, I would use at least two shots of espresso and add water to make one cup
  • 1/2 cup Barista Oat Milk* (remove 2 T. and place in small cup) See note
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar syrup** See Note
  • Whipped Cream Optional

Instructions

  • Place cold brew or cold coffee, oat milk, and brown sugar syrup in a mason jar or shaker cup.
  • Shake well and place in a large cup filled with ice.
  • Froth reserved oatmilk using a milk frother (like this one), froth milk for 10-20 seconds. Pour frothed milk on top of drink.
  • Top with whipped cream, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • * I like the Pacific Foods Barista Series Oat Milk the best, but use your favorite oat milk.
  • For brown sugar simple syrup, place 1 cup brown sugar and one 1 cup water in a saucepan. Simmer on medium for several minutes until the mixture turns into a syrup.
